Playing it for 15 years almost every Monday, Senior mens club. Worth the price.

Slow play. Fairways are a mess. Greens are wooley and slow. Duck and coot poop everywhere, bunkers have a thin layer of sand and hard pan underneath. Not the worst I've played, but close.

I really enjoyed playing this course. The Greens were well manicured, and offered a putter's challenge. The Staff was very courteous and helpful. The Bratwurst marinated in Beer are best I have ever ate this side of Wisconsin.

Local course and with internet specials good value. Pace starts slow and gets a little better. Compared to other Irvine courses, RSJ is a good value.

Course is varied, not treacherous, fairly open, but still challenging. They've been working on drainage issues for a while now, so a few areas are more "under repair" than expected. Staff is the best anywhere. They go the extra nine holes to make your round fun and affordable. I live in North Los Angeles, 50 miles away, and my Dad lives in North San Diego. This is a great halfway point, and always fun and challenging for us both. He plays several days a week and I play once a month.
